Download New A/L syllabuses and Teacher guides for 2019- 2023 A/L

Ministry of Higher Education has issued a circular specifying that for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Department of Examinations will prepared A/L questions based on the limitations specified in Learning Outcomes of the syllabi. (read below to download this circular)

Updated 2017 December: National Institute of Education NIE is in the process of preparing syllabuses and Teacher guides for GCE A/L Examination 2019 and 2020. These syllabuses (Curricula) have been implemented from 2017 for students who did their GCE O/L (Ordinary Level) examination in 2016 and 2017 December.

Syllabuses and Teacher guides are being prepared for all A/L subjects:
Commerce Stream subjects (Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy),
Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Combined Mathematics),
Arts Subjects (Sinhala, Political Science, Geography, Logic, Buddhist Culture, Media etc.) and
Technology Stream subjects (Science for Technology SFT, Bio systems Technology, Engineering Technology)
