Minimum Z – Score values for university entrance (cut-off marks) for academic Year 2013/2014 based on GCE (A/L) Exam 2013 were released today.
According to this, Minimum Z scores of Colombo District for Medicine is 1.9205, Engineering 1.8685, Biological Science 1.3264, Physical Science 1.1909, Management 1.7388 and Arts 1.3778.
Minimum Z-scores for selection to courses of study for each district and detailed information of course selection based on the GCE (A/L) Examination in 2013 can be accessed through the following modes;

The academic activities of Engineering and Medical faculties will commence in the end of October.
The regional workshop on improving quality of the higher education will be held in Sri Lanka. The workshop is scheduled to be held on the 4th and 5th of next month. Addressing the media briefing Minister S.B. Dissanayake pointed out that the aim of the workshop is to learn lessons for improving country’s higher education sector.
